    PMAY 2.0 applications open at pmay-urban.gov.in, Here’s how to apply

    The online application for PM Awas Yojana (PMAY 2.0) has begins officially. With this, the Government will provide 1 crore new houses. On the other hand, each unit will receive Rs 2.30 lakh as financial support. Those people who are interested, can now easily able to apply online for PM Awas Yojana 2.0 by visiting the official website.

    PMAY 2.0: PM Awas Yojana

    The central government has launched the PM Awas Yojana 2.0 scheme under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This initiative will provide financial help to citizens for constructing houses. The authority aims to construct one crore new houses with the Pmay 2.0 scheme.

    On August 9, 2024, the central cabinet approved PMAY for the second installment, aiming to provide financial support for the economically weaker sections (EWS) and middle-income families in urban areas. It is said that, the Government will provide 1 lakh new houses, each unit will receive Rs 2.30 lakh as financial support.

    According to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, ₹2.30 lakh will be given per unit under this PM Awas Yojana program. Last time, 1.18 crore houses were approved in urban areas through the first phase. Now, the application for Pmay 2.0 for one crore new houses under PMAY-Urban 2.0 begins online.

    Necessary Documents for Application

    Those who need this Yojana, can apply directly through the official website. Before this, they must need the following documents to submit application under PMAY 2.0.

    • Aadhaar details of the applicant and family members
    • Active bank account
    • Aadhaar linked to the bank account
    • Income certificate
    • Caste certificate
    • Land ownership documents

    These documents will be used to verify the eligibility of applicants, ensuring that the scheme benefits those who need it most.

    Apply PMAY 2.0 Online

    • Step 1: First of all, you will need to official website of PMAY 2.0 at https://pmay-urban.gov.in/.
    • Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “Apply for PMAY-U 2.0” icon after opening the website.
    • Step 3: Read the scheme guidelines carefully and proceed further.
    • Step 4: Check your eligibility by providing requested details, including your annual income.
    • Step 5: Enter your Aadhaar details for verification.
    • Step 6: After verification, fill in the registration form with details such as address and income proof.
    • Step 7: Submit the form and wait for updates on your application status.
